BioInfOhio Consortium
BioInfoBio is the Northwest Ohio Consortium on bioinformatics, proteomics and genomics. Partners in this consortium include the University of Toledo (UT) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU).

Partners

Together the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University have:
- 33,000 full time students
- 1,700 full time faculty
- More than $30 million / year in grants

History

BGSU and the former MCO, jointly applied in 2000 to the Ohio Board of Regents, seeking to initiate a program in bioinformatics. The University of Toledo joined in 2001. Strategic funding came from Mercy Healthcare, the Stranahan Foundation, and others.

Mission

Our mission is to provide all of our students with the knowledge they need for modern biomedical
research and service, and to serve as a state, national and international resource.
