Dr. Weaver loads a sample into the Affymetrix workstation.

The GCL houses an Affymetrix node system consisting of a GeneChip Hybridization Oven 640 and a Fluidics Station 400. Processed microarrays are scanned on a GeneArray 3000 Scanner at the University of Toledo. Data evaluation software from Affymetrix includes GeneChip® Operating Software, v. 1.2 and the Data Mining Tool v.3.1 for advanced data analysis.

The GCL also provides services for custom array processing.  Printed arrays are scanned on a PerkinElmer ScanArray® 4000 Microarray Analysis System, which has been upgraded with the new ProScanArray® Express operating hardware and software, v.3.0, rev.A.
