Travel/Conference Reimbursement
The Department of Medicine provides $1,200.00 during the 3rd year of residency to help defray the cost of attending an approved educational conference.
In addition, monies are available from the Department to support residents presenting at American College of Physicians meetings.
Book Allowance
$150.00 is provided to each PGYI and PGYII resident for the purchase of a major textbook from the MUO Bookstore.
Uniforms
Residents are provided with white coats, which will be laundered without charge.
Meals
All meals will be charged at a discount rate. Meal tickets are provided for night call.
Exercise Facility
For a fee, use of the on-campus fitness center and swimming pool, for self and family.
Computer Services
Ready access (no charge) to Internet, MedLine and institutional network.
Tuition Reimbursement
College of Graduate Studies Tuition Waived
Health Insurance
Enrollment in health insurance, optical and dental insurance programs is available for the Resident and eligible dependents.
Life Insurance
$10,000 term life insurance, $10,000 accidental Death and Dismemberment paid by MUO. Optional dependent life insurance is available.

Professional Liability Insurance Provided for each Resident
