We take our commitment to improving the health of the citizens of Ohio, particularly those in Northwest Ohio, very seriously.
Research is the basis for the advancement of nursing knowledge and the improvement of nursing practice. The College of Nursing fosters research endeavors and spearheads those efforts through its Center for Nursing Research and Evaluation (CNRE). We are committed to the promotion of outcomes research, applied research, research utilization, qualitative research, and evaluation with the ultimate goals of solving clinical problems and improving both patient care and quality of life. The major function of the center is to facilitate faculty and student research and scholarship. A secondary function is to support the College of Nursing Master Plan for Evaluation and provide evaluation services to the community.
Faculty research is described in the section entitled "Current Research Projects", and faculty research interests are listed in a section by that name to facilitate choice of advisors by students doing theses or research projects as well as interdisciplinary faculty looking for partners in research.
